Position: LPN - Corrections

Facility: Indian Creek Correctional Center

Location: 801 Sanderson Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322

Shift: Days with weekends and holidays as assigned

Contract: 13 weeks (possible extension)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Direct Patient Care: Administering medications, performing wound care, and providing basic medical care to inmates.
• Health Assessments: Evaluating inmates' health status, documenting vital signs, and maintaining medical records.
• Emergency Response: Assisting with medical emergencies and providing immediate care as needed.
• Medication Management: Ensuring proper dosage, administration, and documentation of medications.
• Collaboration: Working with other healthcare professionals, including registered nurses and physicians, to coordinate patient care.
• Patient Education: Providing health education to inmates about their conditions, medications, and preventative care.
• Security and Safety: Partnering with correctional officers to maintain a safe and secure environment for both staff and inmates
