C.H. Thompson is currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Industrial Wet Painter to join our metal finishing team. This hands-on role is responsible for applying wet paint coatings to metal parts and components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets customer and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

Position Overview

• Precise and proficient application of wet paint products, adhering to customer and QMS specifications.
• Ensure proper paint thickness and uniform coverage through visual and instrument inspection.
• Adherence to standard work, training guides, and procedures to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Routine maintenance and cleaning of spray guns, paint booths and related equipment.
• Reporting of any inconsistencies or defects in material, product, or equipment.
• Fostering a positive work environment by collaborating effectively with co-workers, and management.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as an industrial wet painter required.
• Familiarity with paint mixing, spray equipment, and surface preparation techniques.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and reaching.
• Demonstrates a strong quality mindset, with attention to detail and commitment to meeting standards.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Shift Hours:

• Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 3:30pm, Friday 6:30am-12:30pm

Total Compensation Package:

• Wage
  • $20.00-$23.00 per hour plus a 90-Day Review for a prospective increase (compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience).
