Martin Painting, a leader in industrial painting and coating services, is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Industrial Painter to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and high-quality materials to provide impeccable painting services to a wide array of industrial projects. At Martin Painting, we dedicate ourselves to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. It's important to note that this job is onsite and is not available as a remote position.

As an Industrial Painter, you will have the responsibility of executing sophisticated painting projects, adding colorful protection to structures that play pivotal roles in Ohio’s industries. This role requires someone who is not just capable of painting but understands the intricate demands and nuances of industrial environments. This encompasses everything from preparing surfaces with meticulous care to applying complex coatings that prevent rust and degradation over time, ensuring a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish.

• Perform detailed surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, and masking of areas not to be painted, ensuring surfaces are ready for optimal application of coatings.
• Apply industrial coatings using a variety of application methods including brushes, rollers, and airless sprayers to achieve professional-grade finish and durability.
• Operate and effectively troubleshoot pumps, airless spray equipment, and other painting apparatuses used in the completion of painting tasks.
• Adhere diligently to safety protocols established by OSHA while consistently following company procedures for industrial painting activities.
• Inspect equipment, maintain cleanliness and functionality, and perform minor repairs and calibrations to ensure constant readiness and safety.
• Collaborate with the project team to understand project specifications, discuss progress, and deliver on project milestones.
• Continuously seek to improve painting techniques and suggest innovations to reduce time and cost while enhancing quality and safety metrics.
• Manage painting supplies inventory, submitting purchase requests and ensuring that the essential tools and materials are always available.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay informed of the latest trends and technologies in industrial painting.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial painting or similar roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of high-performance coatings and application techniques.
• Proficiency with various types of painting equipment, including high-volume airless sprayers and conventional spray systems.
• In-depth knowledge of different types of coatings, understanding their applications, benefits, and optimal usage scenarios, particularly with respect to epoxy and polyurethane coatings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in every project task.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manufacturer’s guidelines for mixing and applying coatings.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations pertinent to the handling and disposal of painting materials and waste.
• Effective communication skills, capability to work well in a team setting and to maintain professional relations with clients and colleagues.
