Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Emergency Lead Veterinarian to guide our emergency team and deliver exceptional patient care. This leader will set the tone for medical excellence, foster a positive and collaborative team culture, and help shape the future of emergency medicine within our hospital and the broader Thrive network.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to emergency and critical patients.
Lead, mentor, and develop emergency clinicians and support staff to ensure exceptional service and teamwork.
Partner with the hospital management team to support operational excellence and drive hospital goals.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and compassionate care.
Collaborate with referring veterinarians and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and the highest standards of veterinary ethics.

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Current veterinary license in Texas.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong clinical skills in emergency and critical care, with a commitment to evidence-based medicine.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
