Somerset Savings Bank is looking for a professional to provide friendly and efficient customer service in person and/or over the telephone. The role involves processing banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check item redemption, account holds, loan payments, and safe deposit rental payments. The candidate will actively educate and promote awareness of Bank products and services to potential and existing customers to establish and/or expand the customers' relationship with the Bank. Assistance with the use and maintenance of the coin counting machine and maintaining the work area in a neat and well-stocked manner is required. The candidate will also assist in the procedures necessary to close the branch facility daily and ensure daily upkeep of ATM and corresponding outdoor area, when necessary. Establishing accounts for new and existing customers, maintaining current knowledge of all position related procedures and compliance, and satisfactorily completing all required training are part of the responsibilities. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language is essential. The candidate may need to travel to Bank or other locations for job-related functions and must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
Schedule:
Mondays to Fridays: 8:45 am to 5:15 pm
Saturdays: 8:15 am to 12:15 pm (Saturday hours are paid at the overtime rate)
