Job Description

Job Title: Android Developer Location: Dallas, TX Experience: 8 10 years Employment Type: Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Developer with 8 10 years of mobile application development expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building, testing, and deploying Android applications, as well as experience working with modern Android frameworks and tools. This is a client-facing role that requires local Texas candidates for an on-site interview. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance. Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development. Work with APIs, third-party libraries, and cloud services. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members. Required Skills & Qualifications: ~8 10 years of professional Android development experience. ~ Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin. ~ Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle. ~ Strong understanding of MVVM/MVC design patterns and Android Jetpack components. ~ Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML data. ~ Familiarity with version control tools such as Git. ~ Knowledge of mobile app architecture, performance tuning, and memory optimization. ~ Experience with automated testing and CI/CD for Android apps. ~ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills: Experience with Firebase, push notifications, and analytics tools. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for mobile backend services. Additional Details: Local candidates to Texas only must be available for an in-person interview in Dallas. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
